We are trying to raise $25,000 this year to purchase new audio systems for our rehearsal spaces and new instruments that are not in the school budget including: cellos, a percussion workstation, a bass drum, and bass clarinets, among other needs. However, the music department still has considerable unmet needs since we are only allocated $8.25 per student per year, and that money is only allowed to go towards fixing old and broken instruments. Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to raise nearly $25,000 to purchase new instruments for all our programs for the first time in over 10 years. We are so excited to be starting the 2022-23 school year with the over 500 students participating in our instrumental and choral ensembles. The WCHS Music Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to support and benefit musical education for the 500+ students participating in instrumental and choral ensembles at Winston Churchill High School.
